POSITION SUMMARY: Work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health. Help individuals deal with family, parenting, and marital problems; stress management; problems with self-esteem; and issues associated with aging, mental and emotional health. Occasionally may work with Jiahui medical team in managing client’s addictions, substance abuse and severe mental health issues. ESSENTIAL TASK: 1 ) Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment. 2 ) Encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, and help them to develop insight into themselves and their relationships. 3 ) Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems. 4 ) Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports. Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests. 5 ) Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition based on review of client information. 6 ) Counsel clients, families and patients, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes. 7 ) Act as client advocates in order to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations. 8 ) Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical evidence, personal clinical experience and knowledge. 9 ) Collaborate with nutritionist, fitness professional, health coach and other clinical staff members to perform clinical assessments, develop patient specific treatment plans. 10 ) Refer patients, clients, or family members to Jiahui's medical network as necessary. 11 ) Modify treatment activities and approaches as needed in order to comply with changes in clients' status. 12 ) Collaborate with client’s psychiatrist to monitor clients' use of medications. 13 ) Learn about new developments in their field by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, and establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: 1 ) Support the development of Jiahui wellness program. 2 ) Supervise other counselors when necessary. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: 1 ) Wellness education and promotion 2 ) Great organizational skills 3 ) Teamwork attitude EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: 1 ) Master degree of clinical psychology 2 ) Minimum 3 years of mental health clinical practice that includes children and adolescents developmental counseling, family and social relationship counseling, EAP, stress management, anxiety and behavioral modifications 3 ) Efficient use of Word, Excel, PPT, Wechat, and other general office operation programs. 4 ) Great organizational skills and teamwork attitude
